HI
I have had a problem with my FSI for a couple of years
First started coolant from pressure relief in coolant tank on longer journeys
Then started blowing coolant hoses (5 different ones at last count.
So has signs of oil in coolant system.
Gasket done twice with no sign of cracks on crack test.
Car is now running fine but with thermostat internally removed so coolant system can not build any pressure, so takes long time to heat up and never get to 90C and I block radiator with cardboard in the winter.
Now think problem could be a cracked engine block or possibly a crack in the cylinder head that can not be closed
Is it possible for oil pressure to get into the coolant system from the oil cooler?
