It all started with that the car went into some kind of safe mod engine running at idle and no traction. Reason hydraulic leakages and play in gate linkage (085142471 Betaetigungsstange) I repaired the hydraulic leakages and temporarily repaired the gate linkage ( no spare parts at the dealer) I didn’t do any basic setting and the car went perfect. Than suddenly after 14 days the car went just on 1st and 2nd gear. Reason gate linkage had fallen of. (my temporarily repair was just temporary). I have now mounted a new gate linkage and ball joint ( 6N0711608A and 085142285). I tried to mount lower ball joint in same position as the old one so that the gate positions should be the same as before. Now the car just operates on 1st and 2nd gear. Probably the length of the gate linkage has changed so the “unit” can’t find the gate. I am about to make a basic setting following Ross- Tech instructions in the second step Gear actuator adoption it says “Loosen the gear actuator nut and tighten it with zero-potential” What does this mean ? Is it an adjustment to the lower ball joint of the gate linkage? And what should be at “Zero- potential”? Thanks

Do all 1,2 tdi:s pass EURO 4? I imported a 1,2 tdi from Germany to Sweden and according to the "Fahrzeugschein" it was classed as a EURO 3 :3L. Euro 4 demands are NOx <0,25 g/km HC ------------------ NOx+ HC <0,3 g/km CO <0,5 g/km PM (pariclate matters) <0,025 g/km All values on this car was less than the EURO 4 demands according to papers I got from Audi, so now it is classed EURO 4 and "miljöklass 2005" (same demands + less than 120 g/km CO2) . This mean I can park for free in many towns and also pay less roadtax. This has not been the keys if the car has been classed EURO 3. I can see on Mobile.de that 1,2tdi:s can be emission classed 3L, EURO 3 and EURO 4 (D4). (Euro 4 and D4 same demans) Is there a technical differnce between those cars ? Different emission system ? If so what is differnce? ( Answer in german if that is easier) /Kurt Myhr
