You are probably right, unfortunately. But 165 tires are too wide and will affect the mpg. They work - I currently have them - but they are not optimized. Also, I want thinner tires (145) on the snow as they have a better grip.
This car is all about details and it was very expensive in its days. So I believe that the manufacturers should be committed to keep it on the road in its original condition.
There is no point in manufacturing a car that does not rust, can last at least 500’000km if the spare parts are not available anymore.
