These are not mine but a friends and he's gone back to standards, they had only done 20,000 miles, luckly his wife complained about a noise coming from the car as the cup had fell down and touching the tyre. Good job it had not failed on a motorway at high speed as it could have been fatal:eek: Not had the chance to check mine yet but will be doing so Cheers Phil

Talking to a UK A2 forum member today and he said that the NSF(Drivers side for you guys) strutt failed on his car about 8 weeks ago. He explained that the lower spring cup had just about rotten through all the way round, the failure happened as 2 thirds of the spring cup had failed resulting in the hole thing lowering itself down onto the tyre and scrubbing the inside edge down to the threads. Now haven't these got a lifetime warranty ??and who would you contact the place you got them or Koni ?? Just something to start checking for when we swap them winter tyres off come spring. He as yet hasn't done a build thread on the UK page so this is all there is at the moment. I think the other 1.8t that was done on here (German site) had to be de-tunned to 190 bhp ???? where this one when he's finnished is hoping for about 250 BHP. He's not tried the top speed yet as i said he's got some stuff to do like bigger brakes plus bigger intercooler still trying to get some photos (not my car and i was filming from inside) so here's a couple that i do have, the first photo its the grey one you can see the intercooler in the lower grill On the track i think we got up to 120 mph Phil

It was filmed at Audi Driver International 2010 at Castle Combe race track UK all in all it was 22 minutes long but Youtube only allow 10 minutes so i had to cut it into 3 videos Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 The car is UK road legal and is used daily, the project is still ongoing he's still got a few things to do Enjoy Phil:D

Hi Erstens does this stand in the UK, ie does the special exchange work in the UK, a friend of mine has got a 2003 A4 with the cocert stereo he's having a problem with his volume goes to turn it up it goes to 0 and if tries to turn it up it will go all the way ot half way, he was told by UK Audi dealer its a new head unit at £200+. so would he be able to get this on an exchange? We had talked about this in the Uk and they don't do a conversion for the old style arm, its all to do with units (IE not enough cars for them to make the wipers to fit), so its get hold of the new style arm or make a conversion the same as someone made on here https://a2-freun.de/forum/showthread.php?t=20505 Cheers Phil

Hi I just wanted to say a big thanks to vfralex1977 for helping me out with this, i post on the Internaional A2OC forum and this has been tryed by a couple of people on there with mixed results but none seem to have done this. I had noticed on his (vfralex1977) sig that he had this fitted so sent a PM and he then gave me a link to the web page where he got his. So after a few months finally got round to ordering one, it came very quick 3 days delivery from Germany to the UK , so today great weather so thought i would go out and fit it (or have a go anyway lol:D). Very easy took about 15 minutes, took me longer getting the cables out the way so the lower cubby hole would fit back in. This forum has helped me out alot even though i cannot speak or read German i use yahoo barble fish from time to time and do try to get around this site without any help:D So thanks again Phil
