Hi,
Sorry to write in English but my German is pretty useless!
I have slowly worked my way through this and various other transmission threads trying to read the German and using google translate similarly I have looked for the problem I have been having on the Lupo 3l forums and reading in German.
However, I am yet to figure out the precise cause for my problem.
I have an Audi A2 1.2tdi (non-3l) and have recently started to experience problems that the reverse gear takes time to find. Some times it takes 10-15 seconds whilst at other times it engages straight away. It generally works better when the engine is warm.
The "R" flashes on the DIS and you can hear that the mechanical side of the clutch is working but not engaging.
I had a basic setting done by a local dealer but the reverse was still not working well and so I changed the accumulator.
With the new accumulator the gear change works well when tested with the engine off but power on using the tiptronic. It performs 4 changes between the hydraulic motor activating.
Also when driving the car is sharper since changing the accumulator and I have experienced no problems other than with engaging reverse.
Does anyone have ideas what the cause of my problem could be?
It is possible that the basic setting was performed with the battery outputting less than 12v. Would this have a big impact?
The VCDS scan shows no errors with the transmission or engine.
Kind Regards,
John
