Befestigung ist das grösste Problem - da ist *nichts*, sonst wäre mein Monitor längst da drinne. Mechanik sehe ich als das kleinere übel, ein Motor mit riemen und gut wird's. Das muss alles befestigt werden und so einfach wird das nicht. Ich habe *noch* nicht meins soweit auseinandergenommen, vielleicht ist etwas irgendwo brauchbar, ich erwarte aber ein etwas grösseren Fabrikationsaufwand (schweissen, kleben). Bret

nuttinnew hat's auch mitbekommen, auch im UK forum. The track is most definitely there, when also with a couple of minor alterations (to do with the height of the snow walls and the precise corners in the back section with the 180 turn, as illustrated here. They were driving the "other" way round today, i.e. anti-clockwise, where we were driving clockwise. I'll have to ask if there's a reason for it. Mikael was also playing with cameras, so I need at least one GoPro to go with the 2 Contours I expect to be able to get my hands on. We'll then do three cams on the outside and one inside for a couple of laps in peace on Sunday. Looks fantastic - I'll show some stills shortly that I'm processing right now. The firepit is also available, so I'll finish off the orders from the UK this week and then practice making coffee over an open fire The road from Hikiä is absolutely fantastic, it's "too short"; I need to readjust my headlights slightly, but especially in the snow it's great. Very, very fast at times and always a surprise. My wife will join us on Saturday, so she'll take the early train from Lahti and be in Hikiä at 0740. I'll pick her up and then come back to Lemipvaara: then you lot can join and we can be on our way. That way the guys have a *bit* of time to thing some stuff through. There should be four of them, they are not all confirmed 100% yet. The day will be LONG, so prepare yourselves mentally to be pretty dead when you get home on Saturday. I'm shattered because I walked around 400m of knee- to thigh-deep snow (and no, I'm not kidding) to get to a photo point. It's seriously hard work. That plus the driving and not enough coffee is a bad combination. Still outstanding are my photo / video permits for the harbour for Friday morning. I'll deal with that on Monday. My camera should be here a week on Monday, then it's time to practice: the next SCF session is on the 13th, which is a Sunday, and I think I'll try and get there just for the video footage for an hour or so. I'll try and get some signs made up, there are a couple of guests invited who won't be with us from Lempivaara. Make sure you have a brush you can use to sweep the salted snow off the car, including in the wheels and the tailgate. If we're driving in Convoy, please keep up. I try not to drive like a complete lunatic: I know you're there... Oh: BOTH sections of the track were in use (!) which really surprised me. I don't expect this to be happening with us, I will check with Mr. Icetrack. Bret

Heute habe ich den Fehler nochmals gesehen. -1,5, heftigen Schneefall, 80km/h, GRA schalter getastet und PIEEEEP!. AEG... keine weitere Vorkommnisse. Bremslichtschalter, vielleicht? ich denke schon dass er eine Reinigung ertragen könnte. Bret

Dieses Jahr ist noch mehr Schnee als letztes. Allerdings ist es früh gekommen - die Strassen um Katajanokka waren relativ OK als ich da war am Dienstag. Bret

Naja, die grosse Hütte ist gegen €300 / Nacht. Nein, ich kriege keine bessere Preise. Vierumäki selbst wäre eine Möglichkeit; Lahti ist tendenziell horrend Teuer. €100 / Nacht für mittelmässiges Hotel. Messilä kommt mir auch in den Sinn, auch weil es um die Ecke ist und die Dienste anbietet die Lehmonkärki immer noch nicht geantwortet hat. Messila bietet sowas an: Messilä - Yöpyminen - Hirsimökit Preislich geht's, denke ich. Und das ist auch nah genug dran an Lahti um das zu besuchen, ohne laut zu werden (alles wohl relativ!). Ohja: ihr seid bis Dienstag zu viert. Durnesss, Phoenix, Magica, seinelektriker. Den Umzug in ein zweite Hütte könnte genau so ein Umzug in ein zweiter lokation sein... Bret

Ich habe gerade eine Idee... eine ziemlich interessante. Die Hütte ist eine grosse Kostenblock. Montag nacht gibt's nur 4 personen da - und da rentiert es sich nicht wirklich. Wie wäre es, wenn wir das schon am Montag zurückgeben würden? Bret

Da Karat21 auch nicht mehr mitkommt, wird es wieder etwas einfacher mit der Hütte. Ich denke wir nehmen was kleineres (wenn verfügbar) und etwas dazu für Freitag & Samstag. Ich kümmere mich drum. Bret

Das ist die Frage. Anwesenheitsliste: Durnesss, Istvan, Monika, Phoenix, Karat, Magica, seinelektriker, A2-701, Freundin, Nuttinnew. Also 10 Teilnehmer. 2 weg von 12 ist schon eine Menge. Als Hütte haben wir im Moment eine 15er. Die Hüttenkosten, genau so wie die von der Track, kann ich nicht reduzieren. Eine Lösung habe ich noch nicht. Ich kümmere mich drum. Bret

Und jetzt ist es wieder über 0. Schlecht. Der Trackday am Wochenend von Subaruclub wird am Freitag entschieden, denke ich, aber das sieht schlecht aus. Bei -1 darf mann normaleweise nicht drauf. Tja. Übermorgen werd' ich Mikael kontaktieren und seine Meinung holen. Rückmeldung wegen Schlitten aller Art steht (leider) noch aus. Ich bin tief in vorbereitungen für ein grossen Firmenevent morgen und habe entsprechend wenig Zeit. Bret
