Poti passt. Mann, macht es was aus... 2 Stunden hat's gedauert. Mein Auto ist eh ziemlich viel auseinander gewesen - das machte die Sache schon etwas schneller. Tip #1: Beim auseinandernehmen vom Stellmotor erstmals Deckel auf (die sind ALLE identisch drinne!); dann Motor raus und dann die Zahnrädchen und DANN Poti. Genau andersrum alles wieder rein. #2: V70 ist ein grosser Gefummel - es hilft aber ungemein zu bestätigen in welche position das Aussendingsbums - also der Kunststoffteil die die Klappen bewegt - war und ist, denn du müsstest vielleicht noch der Poti bewegen (viereckigen Form). Mit Motor drinne geht's nicht. #3: Handschuhfach, tunnelverkleidung, Fussraumluftleitplastik (kreuzschlitzschraube!!) reicht mit etwas gefummel und gefühl. Lampe dringendst notwendig! Viel spass Bret

Ich find' es interessant wie schwierig es ist, tatsächlich mit 2000U/min auf Schnee zu beschleunigen. Bin eigentlich immer bei 3000.... und zeh-flex hilft längst nicht so viel wie ich es mir wünsche. Bret

Bit of a weather update, for those of you interested. We're still well below 0, snowing like crazy and already we have 50cm of the stuff. Forecast for the next seven days says between 0 and -8, depending, though right now they have forecast 0 and it's -4; last week they forecast -11 and it hit -24. So, be prepared for serious snow and cold conditions... but it might be "warm", i.e. -2. More information will follow! Bret

Ok, a bit of an update: Dogsled will not work until the evening of the 21st. Which is doable for some of you. I will see if there is an alternative available, I'm not holding my breath. Skidoo: I still don't have an answer, so I've asked my wife to make some calls tomorrow. (and there I was, thinking you knew the track ) I'm not surprised, the snow was a pig to drive in towards home. I'll check with Rajala on the Contours tomorrow. Bret

gerade in der Englische Bucht hat ein Händler die D-Ausführung. Ich bin mit ein 2002er unterwegs und ich sehe eigentlich kein Unterschied zwischen die Bilder vom C und D version... wobei ich denke, ich ersetze erstmals die Poti. Habe ein Stellmotor aus England gerade bekommen und das ist eigentlich falsch, aber die Potis sind angeblich überall das gleiche. Also wird übermorgen gebastelt. Bret

I left about half an hour before that, ending up driving home through a blizzard, and he said he was going to play with camera positions.... I think we'll be doing some stuff on the Sunday with four cams *if* I can find them. Looks pretty damned good from here - you can also see the changes in the track with the cones to length and slow down. Still, sideways at well over 100km/h in the dark isn't everyone's idea of a fun time Bret

ich ginge immer von ein PC-artige Lösung aus ersten Gedankengängen... und auch ohne motor könnte sowas gehen mit ein push-push schliesser. Der Monitor stützt sich selbst. Bret

Another silly point that's just come up after talking with my wife: Since I fully expect us to be eating together, if there's special dietary requirements (lactose intolerance, vege, allergies...) it would be nice to know now, as I'm starting to think about what I can do and where I can get it... Bilder vom A2 ohne ABrett gibt's. Vielleicht kannst du dich da kurz mit A2-D2 schliessen, er hat ja Teile und ein A2 in Teilen, inkl. kein ABrett. Das Mechanik - naja, 12V ist nicht so problematisch von ein PC-Netzteil, oder? Ich hätte hierzulande kein Problem mit TÜV. Luftausströmer nach unten verlagern habe ich auch schon angedacht; schliesslich aber bringt es nicht was ich wollte und das wäre die Mittelkonsole weitgehend unangetastet zu lassen. Mit etwas druck könnte mann schon 200g monitor heben von hinten; ein Stück M5 und entsprechend drehen und die Deckel geht nach oben. Muss nicht wirklich weit sein - bei 150mm geht's um 40 grad oder so - und wie viel drehungen das ist müsste rauszubekommen sein. Der motor könnte vorne oder hinten befestigt werden, das ist nicht das Problem, denke ich. Die Rahmenteilen fehlen fast vollständig in diesem Beispiel und wenn mann es mit eine Seite macht, braucht mann nur die Röhre von vorne nach hinten befestigen und der Rest sitzt da rauf. Nur da ist das erste und letzte Problem: hinten ist nichts einfach sichtbar. Um ein Befestigung zu erstellen kommt mann nicht drum. Vorne ist ja die Belüftungsbefestigung, da wäre was mit gefaltetes Alu machbar, aber hinten.... Bret
