1750 breakdown
Exercise 1 - through - drive to 2 - through - drive to 3 - through - back to 1. Should have time for 5-6 times "through" for each exercise within the hour.
This way, we limit the standing around. We'll probably have 2-3 spaces for each exercise.
Saturday's groups:
Group 1
Phoenix
Seinelektriker
harri
richie
Group 2
karat
audi80
a2magica
bret
Group3
durnessss
jupis
ondrej
a2-s-line
Each group has at least one local and one A2 with spikes.
Sat Evening
Sauna, beer, food. Icehole swimming will be investigated.
At least two of my German-speaking colleagues will join us. The guys helping out at the track are also invited, so it should be a pretty cool evening.
Sunday
Ice session 2
Track time is booked from 09:00-13:00.
Exercises will be defined Saturday evening, depending on what was difficult and interesting.
The Subaru guys who are helping will have some space to practice (google "cyclone") from 0800 to 0900. It's "more interesting" than cash to a certain extent
We will go through the difficult stuff, the interesting stuff and Harri has had some extremely cool ideas for very, very difficult but realistic stuff.
So: no timetable here. Lunch we'll organize.
Passenger rides definitely available, if we want to practice drifting, this will be the time to do it. Essentially, anything goes. Photos, videos, brake tests (!!) - no problem.
A suggestion has also been made to let the women drive for a while - and I think this is a very good idea - as you can also see where it works and where it doesn't from the outside.
Subaru club sessions in the afternoon will be very good for demos and photography, but they will be overbooked. There has been a limit placed of 24 cars.
Therefore: Sunday afternoon more than available for alternative entertainment. I will investigate what, how and where. Those of use who want to can stand around, stare and photograph, drink coffee and grab a ride.
Helmets: The Subaru club applies a blanket helmet requirement. Therefore: if you're in one of their sessions, you need a lid. Other than that, no.
Monday
Frozen lake time will be organised, photos / videos. Precise location TBC. Probably to the skijump museum + simulator.
To Helsinki in the afternoon.
Monday evening's hostel will be reserved by me. Rooms will be:
Phoenix A2, Durnesssssss, Karat21
A2Magica + seinelektriker
A2-S-Line + Frau
Total cost: €240 (!). It's dirt cheap and in the center of Helsinki.
Richie.se will already be gone, as will Jupis
Audi80 - I can organize a camping place over at Vuosaari, I think. I will check.
Tuesday
Helsinki. Tourist tour + x.
Costs
Total cost, including the weekend's accommodation, track costs, instructors of €250.
Those who are not driving / not using the accommodation will pay half price, please, I think this is reasonable.
Entertainment while we're at the track should be doable; if you like horseriding, I can happily organise a trek (and I'd *strongly* recommend it).
That cost includes cottage, sauna, track, parking and wash on Friday, food basics (I'll go shopping for those beforehand, stuff like coffee, bread, milk...) but not sheets or towels. I am working out how to get refreshments sorted at the track (probably a fire and some sausages / twisties / coffee / tea).
Accommodation will probably be in one big cottage.
What's not included:
- Vehicle Fuel
- Beer (thread about this later....)
- Monday's Hotel I will book as a group, but it will not be paid for.
The remainder of the €250 is due!
