  1. There was a standard Veyron there also that got taken out for a few laps quick enough to get the brakes rather hot
  2. A very big thank you to Shadout (& Herr Tichy's support) A lot of work, a lot of hospitality and a much easier drive home. Thank you very much A random pic from the weekend;
  3. I always am
  4. Pretty please....with a cherry on the top
  5. Can anyone complete my gra for me please? The switch & wiring is present, the + & msg wires need to be connected and it needs to be activated. I'm going from Calais to the Nurburgring on Friday, returning on Sunday. Is anyone on the route willing to do it (euros will obviously and willing be involved ) ? Danke
  6. Well spotted. It does look damaged doesn't it:(
  7. Bah!
  8. I'd like this one, is anyone bidding on it? http://cgi.ebay.de/350468740333?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.de%3A80%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp5197.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D350468740333%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

  10. Ooh 8) I'm going to the Nordschleife next weekend so I would be able to collect 8)
  11. ! I'd've hoped the rear would do something
  12. Max axle loads for my 1.4 benz A2 SE with OSS, Bose, rear electric windows, klima, 34l va 745 kg ha 740kg Fox 1.4 bj2006 va 830kg ha 790kg Hmmm, maybe the fronts would be suited to an A2 tdi. I'll have to get axle loadings for tdi, fsi and 42l ha also. If only the fronts were as easy to change as the rears
  13. How do G22 springs and dampers differ from G07? I see they're listed with longer bumpstops so I'm guessing they're softer and worth changing to, using something like B4 to avoid elking. Something I'm curious about is the standard damping on Foxes; the front springs on my A2 are also listed to fit a Fox and having driven a few Foxes I'd be happy to have my A2 ride and handle like one so I'd thought about using standard Fox dampers but they're 70kg heavier axle loading so will probably be too firm in bump for the A2 and not solve the problem. Hmm! Do FSDs raising the front effectively make the spring rates higher and is that why benz standard Spidans are suggested for tdis to keep standard ride height? If so I guess the ones for a 1.4 enz you'd want base spec ones (no OSS/klima/Bose etc).

    Aye Bret, trying to do the same thing I did last time when the camera had stopped recording; the last time it turned round to face the sun just as the lyric 'in the sunshine'. It was accidental timing but perfect. This time was a slightly different line and it didn't pivot around the front axle, reminding me very quickly I was 2400km from home. Oh, I've since found out the front subframe wasn't mounted straight, part of the reason it was handling oddly (beforehand:D). I thinks it's a left inner driveshaft joint causing other problems, will hopefully replace this weekend and find out. Thomas...and he still went on to 300k km :cool: http://www.facebook.com/v/10150615409380076

  18. The wires to the msg, do you just remove the pins in there and replace with the gra wiring? I am stupid, I stumble (still) at this point
  19. Nur 17600 km http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201122388548213/sort/pricedesc/usedcars/model/a2/make/audi/page/1/postcode/me207tq/radius/1500?logcode=p
  20. I'm trying to work out if I can afford/fit it in; I would say I'm spending too much on holidays but if I had more I'd spend it on the same I'll have a look at flying/renting, see what that's like.
  21. Same here; cleared the errors, reset it and all seems well, it should get better with w few more km on it also Now on to the next jobs A local VW dealership quotes a clean at service time
  22. No, wasn't that It is odd though, one minute it'll idle and drive ok, the next it doesn't want to idle and it won't respond to the pedal Diagnostics tomorrow, I hope it does the trick!
  23. Good point arosist, I will check the plugs, it would be as easy to not plug it in properly as to do so correctly I'm quite confident it'll be ok in the end, maybe with diagnostics, if not I know I'll be doing it again next weekend and taking out the sensor out also...
  24. No. It was fine until I cleaned it.... I disconnected the battery for a couple of hours and it's better but still far from right. He doesn't want to idle or run smoothly under 2000rpm. 3000rpm and he's great, smoother and stronger than before but if you then ease off of the throttle it cuts off sharply, almost like a misfire. I need to plug him in and go from there...
