I guess Helsinki is at the bottom but I didn't realise it was far to the top! If needs must, it'll have to be done but fingers crossed the weather continues the way it's going.

Firstly, apologies for the English, I really should be able to post in German and it's rude not doing so It's all about caster adjustment; looking at the geo sheet from last year and thinking of what I want to solve, the lh -ve caster & rh +ve caster must be causing the wander to the left. It's also got equal toe out ('within tolerance' which curiously allows more toe out than in) but that's easy to alter and would only be accentuating the problem. Looking on ELSA at camber adjustment it states 'DO NOT move the subframe front to back, only side to side', from that I am assuming the subframe can be moved front/rear on either side independently. This is the only way I can think of tweaking the caster although ELSA doesn't mention it at all. Has anyone had any such adjustments made? If I had a ramp and geo gear I'd have a tinker myself and the couple of places I know of nearby won't be that interested in adjusting stuff if it's 'within tolerance'; I don't want it within tolerance, I want it right

Thanks Thomas Karat, my father is chairman of a freshwater fishing club over and manages several lakes & stretches of river....I haven't been fishing for a loooong time though It's only a month away now

Before I book Tra>Hel, does anyone think it possible I could join DFG despite being neither German nor Finnish? I think it is just that the A2 one is supplied with a bracket tot he gearbox already fitted -

Does it also wobble/vibrate when driving along? I've got a pendulum from a scrapped 9N Polo; it looks the same as the A2 and a new one is about 80 euros cheaper -
It is possible to get heated windscreens made for classic rally cars, I wonder if they could do the A2?

They made the offer I wasn't going to say no and it was actually about 150 euros cheaper for the same service work in the UK! More business for them I guess, they get the extra money for the inspection as well as the OSS from Audi. There was only one non-Audi stamp in the book, the last being in the middle of 2009 so it wasn't too bad.

Good point and my sleeping bag will be nowhere near warm enough for that This is one of those trips I need to do twice, once in the summer

Either way I'm in (and then probably off ) Slightly off topic, is it worth getting an outside cabin on a night Turku-Stockholm ferry? I know it'll be dark, I was wondering if there'd be enough light to see anything. It looks picturesque on Googlemaps (yes I am spending hours on there trying to plan a route ).

Yup I'll take a long drive back but I'm undecided whether to plan it or just go wherever I feel at the time.

It sounds good to me. I got the time booked off of work today, now sorting ferries. I'll probably overnight on the 15th from Harwich to Hook of Holland and drive to Travemunde on the 16th via Louis' (to drop his rear valance), Lelystad Dijk and Afsluidijk (they look good on Googlemaps:o). It's coming round quickly, I wish finding the source of the wobble from the front was as speedy
