  1. It was a bit dirty to start with, 128k km.
  2. I think I've done this I have all the dash lights on (epc/abs/esp...) and it keeps stalling. It's sitting outside with the battery disconnected atm, I'll try it again in a while.

    Zeigt her eure A2!

Yay, Sommer Fabrice, I like your seats and steering wheel
  4. Looking on the Weitec site, the Fox 1.2 is rated at 830kg, the same as the A2 FSI & tdi (the rear 800kg compared to 780kg for the A2 but I don't know if they'd physically fit). If only Audi/VW listed axle loadings rather than just 'weight range L24' or the like. I'm sure when I've checked that my springs show has a heavier loading than the springs normally fitted to a 1.2 Fox so possibly used on a 1.9tdi Fox (which we never got). Grrrrr!
  5. Ah! I don't have much hope of anything else being suitable, the Fox & Polo 9N Eibach VA are both rated to >870kg

  7. Does anyone have the teilenummer for the va Eibach springs for a 1.4 benz? My line of thinking; my 1.4 benz shares front springs with the Fox, I'm wondering therefore if an Eibach kit for a Fox would contain suitable front springs for my A2. The rear springs might not be suitable but I'd try the thinner top spring mount to balance the height. I know this isn't acceptable TUV Danke
  8. Bah They only had the Sound Of Music on when I was there

    Zeigt her eure A2!

Hi Gompie, it certainly was Thanks for the kind offer, it seems wherever I end up there's someone from the forum nearby  I went Amsterdam-N701-Lelystad-Houtribdijk-A7-Afsluitsdijk-Leeurwarden-Gronigen. I never knew those roads existed until I looked on Google maps at Hoek van Holland and pyros' house but once I'd seen them... Looking at it now I should have gone along Noordedijkweg rather than the A7 Anyhow, the weather was bright and sunny - perfect - and I've got in-car film of all of it When I came back that way it was very misty but I am very happy to have been there the first time in perfect weather and got pictures - happy memories Cheers!

    Zeigt her eure A2!

Open A couple of mine. I'm not so fussed about the colour until I see it in sunlight, it brings the pearl out
  11. At least I know the way....I can't think it's anything other than an OSS fault, I can't see the motor having caused it to do what it did. I'm certainly not going to open it again to find out more, hell no. At least it's not stuck open like it was last year in winter, no, it's stuck closed when temps are i Love affair with OSS over Moving on, do 1.2s have more problems than OSSs? Quite serious there although I'd have fun finding and importing one...
  12. Pre-August update; my roof went CRACK today as the second pane closed and the first pane juddered shut.
  13. I can't do a 'once-in-a-lifetime' trip again I could fly to Helsinki and hire a car though
  14. Indeed, it's well worth the trip wherever you are. In August I'll be nearby again so will pop in and get them to check the new OSS over. I'm there so I might as well and the weather might even be good enough to have it open
  15. I can guess the answer but...do you have/can you get any more of these to sell?
  16. Meanwhile, back at the ranch....

  18. Never mind my switch failing, I failed at searching Cheers Bret
  19. My brake light switch has failed. It's part number 1j0945511a but Audi say it's now only available by manual order for the Lupo 3L and there isn't a new number for the A2 I had a little look myself and couldn't find a clear answer, can anyone help? I don't like not being able to find an answer myself Thanks
  20. I have a white connector there, I didn't think it looked like a 17pin though - I'll check tomorrow! blue white beige
  21. I have a small white connector and 17 pin blue. For 2002 should I follow BBY? Thanks
  22. Mph/1000 rpm in 5th is 22.2 so 119.88mph/191.808kmh (...ish:o) It sits at 4000rpm very easily, 5000rpm doesn't seem to bother it too much either, I'm the one that's unhappy about it I prefer 3000rpm or so, I don't like to work it so hard for so long. I usually drive a new Polo 1.2 60ps for work and it's longer geared than the A2, it needs about 400rpm less for 70mph (UK speed limit) and the 1.2 tdi does about 49.6 kmh/1000rpm...can these gearboxes be fitted to A2s?! Alternately can a 1.6 AVY Polo/Lupo GTI be fitted to my gearbox, that has higher torque at lower revs than the 1.4 and much more ps at higher revs
