Wenn ihr Sonntag hoch zu den Renntieren geht überlege ich ernsthaft ob ich mit will oder nicht wegen etwas Video drehen. Ich denke es ist im Moment nur Stefan + freundin und Istvan + Moni, oder? Montag: wenn es nur André gibt die Skidoo *und* hundeschlitten mitmachen will wird's relativ einfach. Wir verschwinden halt ziemlich früh richtung Lehmonkärki und ihr kommt irgendwannmal halt nach sodass ihr gegen 12 oder so in Vierumäki seid. Ihr geht zuerst schlittenfahren und André und ich tauchen dann auf... dauert halt 45min von der eine zur andere. Ich würde raten Zeit in Tampere oder Hämeenlinna zu planen eher als Lahti selbst, es sei denn mann fährt durch. In Lahti gibt's den Ski-Museum (neben die grossen hügel) (Salpausselänkatu) und sonst nicht wirklich viel Ist halt ein ziemlich hässliche "Klein" stadt. Parkplätze in der Stadtmitte sind ziemlich dünn gesät für Finnische Verhältnisse; bei uns in die Rajakatu / Vuoksenkatu bereich parken und spazieren. Kost' nix, ist nicht weit bis in die Stadt. Radiomäki hat ein schöner Aussicht (Radiomaenkatu). Wer einiges an unberührten, ruhigen Landschaft sehen möchte darf sich zwischen Hollola und Asikkala (ver)fahren; Pulkkilan Harju ist schon echt heftig. Karte oder Navi mitnehmen und bitte vollgetankt sowas machen Hämennlinna hat den Schloss und Tampere ist einfach viel cooler als Lahti... ist auch etwa 3 mal grösser Bret

ich habe ein DMX 6Fire USB gesehen in der "Schrottecke" beim PC-Händler umme Ecke vonner Arbeit. Dat will 12V @ 2A (ich dachte seit langem es wäre 15VAC)... also muss es unbedingt im System. So viele Änderungen, so viele Gedankenschwenkungen, so viele Pläne durchgestrichen wegen dies oder das oder jenes... ja, das ist ziemlich "normal". Bin selbst ohne musik seit mehreren Jahren und bin schlicht nicht dazu gekommen. Jetzt aber habe ich a) ein Garage wieder und b) eine Halle wo ich wirklich sachen machen kann. Schauen wir mal.... Sieht gut aus mit den Silent Coat. Finde dass das meiste Lärm bei mir vom Kofferraum kommt - und wenn der voll ist ist es schön leise. Bret

Alles inzwischen Bezahlt. Etwaigen Dazukommer von meine Arbeit melde ich (2-3 haben interesse gezeigt aber nicht bestätigen können aus verschiedenen Gründen). Wir haben ja einige "plätze" am Track noch frei. Harri kommt vielleicht noch vorbei zu helfen - die sind inzwischen von Helsinki nach Tampere umgezogen. Bret

Hündeschlitten: die sind zu hause in Vierumäki; wenn der Gruppe "nur" 4-5 ist, dann lieber bei denen. Kostenpunkt: €25 für 1km mitfahren, €35 für 2. 5km auch möglich, sie hat explizit 2km empfohlen. Die arbeiten eigentlich mit Lehmonkärki zusammen, also maile ich Lehmonkärki heute Abend. Bret

In summer we have roads made of gravel. With 80km/h limits and loose surfaces Cue wagging tail on braking and four-wheel slides. Much fun. I am packing as much as I can into this, really. Friday is the only "slack" and that's not really, especially as you won't be alive and awake and out of the port and into Helsinki much before 10, so it's only four hours or so if you're rushing through on the way home.... Summary Friday: Some kind of Helsinki (Mikael may be available?! Have to ask ) Leave the city before 1500 Get to Riihimäki / go shopping Sauna + some Saturday: 0800 at least one of Orga needs to be at the track. We will not leave before 8, we should give them a bit of time to set up. I'll set some coffee facilities up and bring some snack stuff. We'll order lunch in (I expect decent prices when we order 16 pizzas!). We have the track until 1800. Back to Riihimäki. Evening: Sauna and "Beerjourney"; we have I think 6 different beers being brought over, local ones. Sunday am: sleep in a tad Brunch, down to the track for 1300. We'll have to see what exercises we can think up this time, I don't think there will be anyone else on the track, so we should be able to drive some track time, BUT we'll need to marshall it! If someone wants to do the Reindeer thing, Sunday morning is probably the best time. Iitala isn't *that* far away, 40 minutes, and you'll have 3-4 hours to do it in. Track close is at 1800. Monday: I'll organise Lehmonkärki's skidoo adventure (if that's where it will be, and I think so) to start around 9. We'll then be done before Lunch. It's an hour and 15 or so to Lehmonkärki from Riihimäki. Those who want to Dogsled can then do this afterwards. The kennels I have in mind are all in Vierumäki - (Route link) - and from there you can go to Helsinki. Timings: It's around 20 mins from Vierumäki to us and then 55 minutes to Ring III; another 10 mins through to the harbour. So 1.5 hours, you need to leave at 1400 to be on a 1730 ferry. Conversely, for the Stockholm ferry it will be 1530 as Finns can't drive in traffic and the terminal is in the middle of Helsinki. I will set up the observatory for Tuesday. I will go into work and stay late, so we can go for some food and then go into the tower. I don't think there are any "official" costs involved as it's a colleague and she wants to see what my camera can do. I'll check this. The tower is round the back of the Silja Terminal, in Kaivopuisto. For those who weren't there last time, there's a spectacularly cheap hostel called the Eurohostel on Katajanokka. If you want a couple of days in Helsinki, this is the time to do it. Go over to Uspenski and the Tuomiokirkko, up to Torni for a beer; over to Suomenlinna to admire the French defences, the design museum or Kiasma and through Anna / Frederikinkatu to wow over the fact that there are still towns that are alive and bustling As of now, I'm setting the Skidoo up for a group of around 6 and the dogsled for 4 or so. they won't let you get away without a cabin. I'd seriously consider one above teh waterline as there will be ice. The most spectacular bits are the way out of Turku and the way in to Stockholm - and that is also in darkness, I think (check with Google Earth; if it gets in at 7, it won't be light yet). The route in to Helsinki is also worth watching; there is one section with 5m clearance on either side (no, I'm not kidding!). I think it's this bit: Google Maps Summer is excellent - long days and empty roads mean you can do silly mileages without really feeling it. Shedload of mozzies, though... Bret

Die rentieren habe ich angerufen und bestätigt, da erinnere ich mich ganz gut dran dass ich die Gruppengrösse durchgeben müsste. Und das noch vor eine bestimmte Uhrzeit. Besonders im Winter, alles buchen, denn ansonsten wird es vielleicht nicht öffnen. Skidoo ist noch nicht gestorben, ich kläre hoffentlich bis Ende diese Woche. Bret
