Any thoughts on how we could get at least one car through that process with minimal (financial) pain and a reasonable timescale? That would probably mean a sample being made available relatively soon and at a reasonable price so someone can do battle with the paperwork, from which everyone else can profit... or do ProAlloy have experience of certifying with TÜV for an ABE? ^^ this. I don't see it as a massive problem, but it's something you should be aware of and work to. It's one of the reasons I don't have at least one front brake spoiler on the A2, because I dropped into a 20+cm deep crater a few years ago and ripped it off. That was a puddle in the ice and looked completely innocent.... Snow *is* soft *until it is compacted* at which point it can be incredibly hard. I would personally not bring something that is concours to track. I would bring something I care about and want to use as it was intended - sideways. But with the proviso that I know it's in good mechanical condition, because brakes will be stressed, engines will be revved, heat may be an issue. Which is why I probably wouldn't bring a freshly-re-engined car unless it's already well run-in which is also a good shake-down. And this is also why I'm thinking about it now, so if I decided I wanted to go find a B5 1.8q, I could, and then get its brakepipes sorted, fluid and pads changed, oil changed and then make sure the suspension works the way it should while the roads are still grey. That way, I'd get as much as possible out of the event and as much driving time as I could rather than cursing because propshaft bolts break first thing Saturday morning.... - Bret

wegen Flüge: Transavia macht was von AMS - HEL. Timing is good - 0720 - 1050, aber rückflug nur am Montag. €120 oder so. Finnair will €220 z.Zt von DUS - HEL, und 335 direkt nach KUO. Timing: - 1145 - 1740 oder 1915. Rückflug am Sonntag: 1430-1755. Das geht halbwegs - 1230 los von Lohimaa, 1330 am Flughafen.. Kuopio ist nicht der Grösste der Welt TXL - KUO ist auch um €220. 0920 - 1405 hin und 1430 - 1800 rückflug. Das gibt 1h40 in Helsinki, das reicht völlig. Airberlin: TXL - HEL - TXL: 0950 - 1245 out, 1945 - 2040 zurück am Sonntag kostet um die €100. 1945 wird schwierig... Zug fährt möglicherweise um 1123 von Kuopio, aber ist in Tikkurila (10 min vom Flughafen) um 1525. Die fahrpläne sind aber noch nicht bestätigt fur 2018. LH bietet keine direkten Flüge an TXL - HEL, alles geht über MUC oder FRA. - Bret
