An English-language subforum

this subforum is specifically intended for questions that aren't in German. I'm trying to avoid issues with translation engines and misunderstandings.

IIRC this thread only is the introduction. The subforum itself may be filled with questions in English. They will be found automatically, f.i. by Google.

The intention was not to foment fragmentation, and yes, I agree, it could be a problem. If this is not conducive to keeping the questions in one place (and lowering the barriers to asking them) then I'll remove it again.

I'm Dutch and usually I post in German.

 

I frequently visit MBSLK.de - The SLK-Community as well and that site has a Dutch subforum. Just because German is not an easy language for many Dutchmen to write in.

That part of the site has less visitors of course and I must say, that that part of the forum more seems to be a chatroom than a technical knowlegde forum. Therefore I prefer the German forum of that site.

 

As far as the A2 is concerned, there is a Dutch forum named http://www.audi-A2.nl. Because there are less Dutchman driving an A2, that forum has less technical articles as well, but we are learning and that is improving. And there are many references to a2freun.de, which seems to be the knowledge database par excellence.

 

I experience that all foreigners posting in English at a2freun.de get a quick answer to their questions, so I do not feel the need of an english subforum. Just my two cents.

I don't quiet see the point of having an English subforum here. Even though I'm always keen to try my language skills.

hallo everyone,

i bought a used A2 2003 model for personal use. it is showing me ABS, AIRBAG, The Battery symbol is on, the symbol for the water temperature comes on after a while, EPC, Motor control lamp errors.

i have been able to figure out that the Generator is no more functioning properly, the coolant fan is not working probably because the control unit is defect, planning to replace both devices.

How can i fix the other errors?

When you are done fixing the generator, delete all the other errors in the logs and check wether the issues are still there.

 

Most probably this is the issue for a couple of your problems there.
